THE ORIGINAL GAME & OUR ALTERNATIVE

What is Krillion?
A player’s guide.

By Hao, Rare Dive · Updated October 24, 2026

Krillion is the rare-answer trivia game at krillion.io. A category can have many correct answers; the challenge is to recall something less obvious. If you arrived here looking for the original Daily Dive, that is the place to play. This website is Rare Dive, a separate game inspired by the format.

How to play Krillion

Open the original game, choose a mode, and follow the prompts on screen. Read each category carefully, type an answer that meets its conditions, and submit before its timer ends. An accepted answer receives a rarity rating. An unfamiliar choice still has to fit the question; an obscure word alone does not make a good answer.

The creator’s official FAQ explains that answer sets are curated and rarity depends on the question. Some ratings use familiarity data, while others include assisted and manual review. These ratings should not be read as a live percentage of players choosing an answer.

Where is Krillion Unlimited?

The original site has an Unlimited entry in its navigation. Use Krillion’s own website to see its current modes, access options, and any purchases. A similarly named website may be a separate game with different questions and scores.

For a free alternative you can play here, Rare Dive Unlimited offers seven-question rounds with no daily cap. Finish a round, choose “Take another dive,” and start a new random set. It runs independently, with our original answer bank; it does not unlock or connect to the original game.

Rare Dive has a 25-second clock per question and a maximum of 700 points, or 7,000 meters. Its Daily challenge resets at midnight UTC and rotates through a 14-day question cycle. Those details describe this edition. Do not use its prompts, scores, or reset time as a guide to today’s official Daily Dive.

Choosing a game like Krillion

Choose the original when you want to play its shared challenge, use its current modes, or compare the same puzzle with friends who play there. Choose Rare Dive when you want a separate set of categories, free Unlimited rounds, and an experience with no account, ads, or payment.

There are trade-offs. Rare Dive uses a finite answer list rather than an AI judge, and a valid answer may be missing. Its 98 questions repeat after the Daily cycle and can recur between Unlimited sessions. Scores are playful editorial ratings, not a measure of your intelligence. If those limits suit you, start with our daily Krillion-inspired game or go straight to free Unlimited play.

A useful habit for rare-answer trivia

Keep a familiar answer in mind, then explore a smaller part of the category you know well. For a food question, think about a region or meal; for an instrument question, move between instrument families. Submit something you can support before the timer expires. Read the exact condition each time, because a good answer to one prompt can be outside another prompt’s scope.

Sources and independence

Original-game references were checked against Krillion’s website and its official FAQ on October 24, 2026. Modes and access can change; the original site is authoritative for its own game. Rare Dive is unofficial and is not affiliated with krillion.io. Its question bank, design, and results are separate.
